The Movie "Avatar"

Hello Friends:

I hadn't seen the movie "Avatar" until this morning.

It talks of unity and connection with the planet, with each other. Yet it also talks of war.

Still, I'm struck by the fact that through movies we have been gradually getting used to the idea of other types of beings that don't look like us, but who have as a goal a universal communication system, a goal of unification, and a goal to serve.

Can I not feel the changes occuring now on our planet? I do. It is like a birthing, as we've been told. There is a perceived struggle and gasping for air and pain along with an uncovering of what has been hidden, and a new beginning and a joyous welcome.

We have much to learn. As each of us chooses more for love and learns the concepts we are teaching ourselves through calling our teachers to us, our learning accelerates. That acceleration is very exciting to me. All in the ripeness of time, P'taah would say. It seems that ripeness is upon us. And he has said also that there will be a quickening, an acceleration.

After watching this movie "Avatar" I'm feeling that quickening even more strongly within myself. It all starts with each of us. Our lessons are within. When they are learned, we serve.

In the end, the service we give is to our Self. The one Self who needs no service, but aspects of which have yet to realize there is no separate me.

In this movie there is still war. There is a winner and a loser of that war. Perhaps that is the fate of being in the physical universe. There will always be a winner and a loser. Perhaps there will always be some sort of war going on. How fortunate we are when we can realize the peace within. One day that may happen with all of us, on this planet and all others, and maybe wars will not exist. All will have recognized their Oneness, and will see the same in all beings. Perhaps then there will be no need for a physical universe, which seems to tell us that we are all separate, and that we have individual goals not shared by everyone. Our true goal IS shared by everyone, eternal and unchanging, and that is Reality. Until then, and in this universe, I see the changes here, and I am pleased and even excited by what they foretell.

I'm happy to know you are here with me now, all of us sharing equally on the path out of our shadow world. May the sun shine brightly on you today and all days with love, Chris

Hi Chris

I too watched the movie Avatar. My heart cries out because I believe there are no winners or losers in war. As she said in the movie, "Don't thank useless death." when she saved him. As long as our connections are fractured, wounded, and lost we will not enter the sacredness of who we are.

Maybe that is part of why we are here. As long as war, pain jealousy, greed, and illusions of power grow inside us, we will define war in the terms of winners and losers. When we have had our fill of war, useless murders, and seperation, we will stop what we are doing. Maybe then we will open to the purity of our own vulnerability and find as we stretch into Becoming Love we will lay down the weapons we use against one another.

When we close our eyes to the cause of our own self distruction, we will not see that what we do can wound, or heal hearts and souls including our own. When war is no longer an acceptable answer, we will look for another way to define who we are. When we stop tearing apart the fabric, DNA, or our breath we will begin to honor and respect all our connections and relations. Until then we will live in fear of loosing what we think we have power over.

My prayer is we will face ourselves within this paradigm shift we are going through and open our eyes and hearts to that which we have refused to see. May our breath be one of life, wholeness, and peace in this stretching rebirth we are going through. May we then learn that what we did to the world around us, we did to our own hearts and breath within us.

with love
as always

Thank you both for your comments. You are indeed my beloved brother and sister.

One last thing is to remember too, that we did not do anything to the world that wasn't first within ourselves, and therefore became outpictured into that external world. Therefore the answer isn't to stop or change what is going on in the external world, because that is not the source of the problem. The source of the problem is that we perceive ourselves to be separate, with separate goals and agendas, with the desire to be important, to have special relationships, where some people are welcome and others are not.

The answer is to recognize the extreme resistence we have to going within (which is the source of this decision to be separate) and finding there the pain of our own perceived decision to become separate from All That Is, and then embrace it, allow it, forgive it.

We chose the decision to be separate. The external world simply mirrors that choice. We have heavy resistance to looking at that choice within us, yet it is the only way to our personal recogition of the peace within us that is there eternally, has never left us, but that for now, has been forgotten.

So it is to go to the source within us first, and realize the truth of our connectedness and that we are NOT separate. We do this by not judging, but by embracing, allowing, forgiving our brothers and sisters. By seeing the spark of the Divine in them, we recognize that spark of Divinity within ourselves. Only when we all have that recognition of the truth of Self and that Inner Peace, will peace be manifest in the outer world.

It must begin with each of us individually. EACH of us. That's why we are often taught that our only purpose individually, is to come into the awareness of our Oneness, our Christ Consciousness, or our non-separation.

The people of Pandora (in the movie "Avatar") were moving in that direction. It could be seen that they meditated or prayed for others collectively, they connected to animals and trees even physically through the neurons in their hair, etc. Yet because they had external war, they could know, if they had progressed far enough along, that there was still more to embrace.

That's the good thing about seeing these conflicts, wars and difficulties externally. They can point to where I personally would benefit from further embracing, further allowing, further forgiveness of the external illusion which ultimately heals the error of the mind in thinking that it is separate. When we all get that, war simply will not be possible.

Much love to all my friends, Chris
