In a recent email I was asked to “Define Innocence”

I thought what a wonderful thing to share, knowing we each as individuals must define the understandings we take to heart, and the perceptions we live by. Much like a Mime in a reality only they can see, we must face our self in order to define that which we seek to understand.

So for me innocence is:
1. Something not meant to last forever.
2. A flower opening.
3. A first kiss.
4. Lover’s holding hands.
5. A gentle smile.
6. Tears reflecting on eye lashes.
7. That instant just before taking the next step.
8. Catching raindrops, and snowflakes on my tongue.
9. Moon lit walks.
10. A tree.
11 Playing in new fallen leaves.
12. An ocean view.
13. Change.
14. An Illusion.
15. Blue Grass, and Jazz Music.
16. A waltz.
17. Eating ripe watermelon on a hot summer day.
18. Running naked in the rain, deep in the forest.
19. Friendship.
20. Whales singing.
21. Waterfalls.
22. A glass of red wine.
23. Making love in the middle of the forest where there is no time.
24. Sharing a joke.
25. Being fully in the moment that smiles with you.
26. Making mud pies.
27. Lemon meringue, seedless grapes, and the look in my lovers eyes when he joins me in coming.
28. Soft gentle purring.
29. Purity of passion for what one does.
30. Forgiveness.
And the list goes on, as I grow beyond what I now know. Finding as the sacredness within me reaches beyond this fleeting form, I bow with wonder, knowing for a moment as innocents smiled on me, so did the stretching awareness around me open, and growing begins again. Knowing as well, as we become that which we seek to be, all that is…. joins us in the dance of life where one becomes the many and many become the one. Here in this place of trust lays the seeds of innocence that teaches us all to be wise with vision and like children touched with moments of joy in the only places they now know.

Innocence is taking a sad child in the arms and saying we love him.

It is saying him that he doesn't have to accuse himself because he didn't do any wrong thing.

As long as we don't find the courage to leave what we know, as long as we cannot make the step forward we find ourselves in fear, self pittying and judgement. Then we start looking for ways to get rid of these feelings on which way we just put power on them. We can always choose to enhance, to be happy, to be in joy as long as we are not afraid to step beyond what we know. Innocence is about knowing this. And more...

Innocence is the power of giving instead of taking, it is the state of being without personal expecations and it is the courage to grow beyond what we know now.

Hi areal and burake. I have been considering how to define 'innocence' and for me it is about a thought, idea construct, action, etc. that I am not yet aware of or don't 'know' in my heart. For me, this allows for expansion of awareness, and removes the fear of guilt from my experiences and allows the same for all of the planet. It's like being a new born and discovering what this earth experience is all about moment to moment. Each moment is new and fresh in our now. This gets back to the ISNESS of each moment. All is just OK. I enjoy simple 'recipes'.

Much love,
Namaste,
Reese

Innocence is the ability to think about death. We are all going to die. It is just a question of time. And this life is about discovering love in this limited possibilities. The day we die it will only count what we have discovered to love self and others. Innocence is about being aware of this and understand the challenge. It is about the call form our self in future (after dying) which says; think about this. Of course still there are no expectations, nothing is right or wrong, nothing "must be"; but...think about it!

We live the same shit again and again. We do eveything to change our lives, our outer reality but find ourselves again in judgement, fear and chaos. Because on a deep deep level we don't believe that we deserve a better reality. But this is so much hurting that we don't want to know about this. Innocence is the courage to face the deepest fears we have. In order to change we sometimes must face ourselves in our own vulnerability. We cannot put pain away. Yes, for some time; but not forever. This is honesty to self and innocence at the same time. Innocence is to stand there with no protection, honesty is the will and power to discover it. They are both the greatest strengths we have...

Innocence is to listen to our inner voice. It says do not resist love. Do not resist love. Do not resist love...

Innocence is the inner voice that speaks of the wisdom of life. And that is; you are love and you have never been something else.
