For me my answer is simple, I am not ready and my choice is to stay here. Apart from the fact that I am still learning my own power and remembering who I am, I have young children that I have no desire to leave and my wish in this life is to share this journey with them. My desire is not ascension, my desire is simply to live without judgement, without fear, to make all my choices from a place of love, not fear. To see all people as a divine aspect of source. A divine aspect of myself. To experience myself. I have not yet experienced all that this life has to offer and isn't that the point of this life, this world, so we can experience ourselves and all our aspects.

I feel the same as you, as in desire to love who I am absolutly and ascension has not been something I've thought much about or aspired to since I had my children. I did think about it when I first began reading P'taah(pre children) and my understanding of it then was to come into the complete knowing of who I am and disappearing back into source. I used to think that maybe this could account for some of the people on the missing persons list. lol :)

Now I feel I can still come into the complete knowing of who I am and loving who I am without disappearing from my children in the physicality, this is another example of my stuckness as I realize as I type this, that it is just another fear, that I could never disappear from them anyway as we are aspects of each other. lol again :)

Was I confusing enlightenment with ascension, my understanding of it was that they are different things. I aspire to be enlightened, to operate on a higher frequency, most definitley, and this is something I believe I can achieve and am working daily on that but I am no where near ascension, nor do I want to be, I am having fun creating this reality. Daily creations of happy children, happy partner, a beautiful day or view, abundance of love and good cheer, good friends, positive outcomes to the problems I create for myself just so I can know my own power. Still working on abundance of money, I succeed and have heaps then old fears come in and it all goes away, when its gone the fear is gone and so it comes back, this has happened quite a few times now. Law of attraction at work and proving it own point I guess.

Anyhoo Phil please help me out here. Is there a difference between enlightenment and ascension? Can we have one without the other? Is it a matter of raising the frequency we are vibrating at so high that we ascend and disappear back into source or is ascension something different from that?

If I may jump in here to add something to the mix?

I guess you could super-excite the body molecules into a high vibrational frequency, high enough to shimmer, and to glow, and I'm not denying the possibility that you could even vanish, up to a point, but your intention must be harmonious with others, and your desire so very strong or else it would not be. If the intention was self-serving, and demeaning of others "who can't fly" then the spirit would not cooperate with your conscious effort, and you would sabotage the efforts you are making.

When feeling fully harmonious with the world around you, I would be expecting a yearning to get ever more involved, in a spontaneous, creative way, with the worldly surroundings and the people in your awareness, and not less vessel, and less material experience.

Goodness, we can all go on/go back to being an etheric form of metaconscious spirit and cocontribute to the multiverses in a non physical way, when we get done with this lifeform, this body, this gifted edition of god.

The first time the feathers manifested, and arms became wings and the change embraced me, I knew I had moved out side of one awareness into another. I found this ascension was a place of shape shifting our possibilities, and recognizing reality is sometimes the greatest illusion we know, especially when we are Love that creates all enlightenment. This place opened a door where I saw us become one with the universal breath we breathed.

Every thing we do, think, say, choose, or not choose is part of this ascension as we live our fullness with all we are capable of becoming. When we limit the places of transformation we limit the forms we can know by becoming that which we are.

Imagine the wind becoming breath. Then see, and feel the breath go inside you. As you pause in this place of living wholeness you become both the breath, and the wind. Then imagine the breath moving out side you, and once again becoming the wind. Full circle life begat life, and breath begat breath as we became both the wind, the breath, and the stillness of our own awakening. Much like emerging from a cocoon.

Many times we will face our true self in the places that will awaken us, and stir a hunger within us to reach for even greater heights, and understandings. As we embrace the consequences of these places, lessons, and experiences we can be as open, or as closed as we so choose. Each place is but a breath that will breathe us into our own Being as one.

When we have the question, the answer is within us. When we have the answer, the question also forms within us. Each, individuals to the parts of the greater connections that take us places where the ascension, and enlightenment are the breath we breathe as we feed the authentic self within us, and around us.
